First Congregational Church of Evanston’s free concert series Music First will return on May 3rd at 3:00 pm with the contemporary jazz duo of John Moulder (guitar) and Jim Trompeter (piano). These veteran performers of Chicago’s fertile jazz scene have prepared a program highlighting their shared gift for sophisticated composition and virtuosic improvisation, which have garnered acclaim and accolades from All About Jazz, the Chicago Tribune, and Down Beat Magazine. This family-friendly event is free and open to all. A light reception with the performers will follow.
