ANNOUNCEMENTS

You are welcomed and seated today by Joyce and Bob Phelps, Nick Tucker and Steve Wilson.

The greeters today are Joan and Tom Lindsey.

A special thank you to all church members and friends who donated poinsettias to decorate our sanctuary for the holidays.

Lighting the Advent Candles today is Mabel and Dennis Hsu.

Please Volunteer for Hilda's Place - On the first Saturday night of each month, our church is responsible for providing dinner for the 30 or so residents of Hilda's Place, a homeless shelter located in the basement of the Lake Street Church.  This is a rewarding and fun activity, and much appreciated by the residents.  It's a great service opportunity for a family or two or three people who might like to work together.

I am currently looking for anyone interested in working together with Andy Plasz to make dinner on Saturday, January 5.  Please contact me via email (mcfran@ameritech.net) or phone (847-332-2618) to volunteer for January 5 or any month in 2008.  Thanks!  Elaine Frangedakis
