Appreciation Sunday
On June 10, 2007, the Membership Committee will host an Appreciation Sunday luncheon for the entire First Congregational Church family to honor new members, the Chancel Choir and Sunday school teachers. A festive luncheon is planned directly after the worship that day. Please join us at the Church House Guild Room to partake of good food and fellowship and the chance to honor these special people.
On April 29th, 2007 First Congregational was blessed with five new church members. LaRae Ackerson, Nathan Pedretti and Jane Soung, Michael and daughter Hannah Ryan, and Liz Rorke are a group of creative and talented people. Please join us to warmly welcome them into our fellowship family.
Additionally, we will also honor the Chancel Choir for their wonderful gift of music throughout the year. Our choir has most ably led our congregation in hymns and has expertly presented inspirational anthems during worship and special festival services. Let us thank them for their musical gifts and honor them with our presence.
Lastly, we also wish to thank our dedicated Sunday school teachers for their marvelous work throughout the church year. Unselfishly and unstintingly, our dedicated Sunday school teachers have given their time and talents to help children from preschool through high school learn about God, be of service to our community and experience the joys of Christian fellowship. They have spent countless hours preparing for classes and helping children learn about our faith. Please join us in honoring them, as well.
